If they have already been washed, dry them thoroughly before refrigeration. Discard leaves that become slimy, moldy, foul-smelling, or extensively decayed. For longer storage, blanch the leaves, cool them in ice water, drain thoroughly, and freeze them in recipe-sized portions for soups, dals, curries, and braised dishes.
